The MainConcept AVC Broadcast Encoder Plugin for FFmpeg is a convenient and foolproof way to integrate MainConcept’s broadcast proven AVC/H.264 video encoding technology into the popular FFmpeg framework. It allows AVC/H.264 encoding up to 4:2:2 10-bit (plus 4:2:0 8-bit) and up to level 6.2 (8K). In addition, the AVC Broadcast Encoder Plugin offers pre-configured encoding profiles for professional Sony and Panasonic camcorder content creation. You can access the MainConcept AVC/H.264 software and Intel Quick Sync Video encoding directly within FFmpeg.

MainConcept AVC Broadcast Encoder Plugin for FFmpeg works with a specific FFmpeg version (not included). Binaries are available as a separate download from MainConcept. The FFmpeg sources, including the corresponding patch, can be found on MainConcept GitHub.
